A letter from theoretical physicist Richard P. Feynman to his wife Arline, dated April 1945. He was working around the clock on the Manhattan Project at this point, but sacrificed sleep to write her letters at night. Arline would die from tuberculosis a few months later.
Richard Feynman’s letters always impress me; they make me see him as more than some crazy genius who played bongo drums. But I always think that reading someone’s private letters to their loved ones is a little creepy …
